Pembroke born and raised. Lifelong reader. Higher education professional. Mina Panacy is running for Library Trustee to help keep Pembroke’s library a place where knowledge and the joy of reading are easily accessible to everyone in town.
For the last twenty-four years I have had the privilege of calling Pembroke my home. After graduating from Pembroke High School, I earned my master’s degree from Bridgewater State University in Higher Education Administration — a foundation that shaped how I think about learning, community, and access to resources.
Today, I work as an Academic Advisor at Berklee College of Music, helping students stay connected to campus resources and their academic plans. Before that, I served on Bridgewater State’s crisis management team, handling everything from student wellness to facilities emergencies.
Working with people is my passion. And there is no place in Pembroke that better embodies community, curiosity, and connection than our public library.
For the last two years, I’ve read a book a week — made possible by my nearly weekly visits to Pembroke Public Library. As Trustee, I’ll protect everything that makes it special.
The library is Pembroke’s greatest equalizer — a place where every resident, regardless of background, can access knowledge, digital tools, and lifelong learning. I want to protect and expand those programs.
Collaboration is at the heart of my approach. As Trustee, I’ll build partnerships across town departments, schools, and organizations — bringing that spirit to everything the library offers.
Drawing on five years in student advising and crisis support, I understand that libraries empower people at every stage of life. I’ll ensure ours continues to do exactly that.
I am so excited about the Pembroke Library expansion currently being championed by the Friends of the Pembroke Public Library. More space means more programs, more room for our community to gather, and more opportunities for every resident — from young readers to lifelong learners — to connect with everything our library has to offer. As Trustee, I will be a strong voice in making sure that expansion fulfills its full promise for Pembroke.
My career has been built around one belief: that everyone deserves access to support, resources, and the confidence to succeed. That same belief drives my candidacy for Library Trustee.
From managing student crises to helping musicians navigate their academic journey at Berklee, I know how to connect people with what they need — and I know the difference a trusted community resource can make.

Libraries are more than books. They’re gateways to art, culture, technology, and community. Mina gets that — and she’s committed to celebrating the full breadth of what Pembroke’s library can be.
“I ask for your vote to continue the library’s promise of community learning, connection, and empowerment.”
